Business Policy
How we work with the handful of teams we partner with each year: our values, process, and the commitments behind every engagement.
Last updated: June 25, 2026
1. Our Business Values
At Cublya, we are guided by a few core values that define how we build and how we partner:
- Ownership:We build and run our own products, so we treat every engagement like equity, making the decisions we'd make for ourselves.
- Integrity: We operate with honesty, transparency, and clear trade-offs in all our dealings.
- Craft:We optimise for the version of the product that's still running and maintainable in two years.
- One team, end to end: Design, engineering, AI, and strategy under one roof, with no handoffs to drop the ball.
2. Engagement Onboarding
Our onboarding process is designed to establish a strong foundation for a successful partnership:
- Initial Conversation: We start with a discovery session to understand your goals and requirements.
- Proposal: We provide a proposal outlining scope, timeline, deliverables, and pricing.
- Agreement: Upon approval, we formalise the partnership with a service agreement.
- Kickoff:We align expectations, introduce the team, and establish how we'll communicate.
3. Payment Terms
- Fixed-price engagements typically require an upfront payment, with the remainder due against agreed milestones.
- Ongoing retainer work is billed monthly, with payment due within 14 days of invoice receipt.
- We accept payment via bank transfer and other electronic payment methods.
4. Project Workflow
Our engagements typically follow these phases:
- Discovery & Planning: Research and planning to establish requirements.
- Design & Prototype: Design concepts and interactive prototypes for review.

- Testing & QA: Testing for functionality, performance, and usability.
- Launch: A controlled, systematic release of the final product.
- Post-Launch Support: Ongoing maintenance as specified in the agreement.
5. Communication

- We hold regular status check-ins based on the project's complexity and timeline.
- We aim to respond to communications within one business day.
6. Revisions
